A Little Bit of Easter
to Brighten the Room

Upon entering the classroom, it won't take long to notice that there are hints of Easter all around. Here are just a few examples of what you might see on any given day this week.

Two students created Easter nests using play dough and wooden Easter eggs.

Christmas isn't the only time that indoor trees can be decorated. Several of our students hung eggs and Easter ornaments all over our Easter Tree. It quickly became a popular centre in the classroom.
All Decked out for Easter

Thanks to the talents of our Kindergarten artists, our classroom door is taking on a very festive look these days. Easter eggs in a variety of springtime colours brighten our hallway and welcome the much awaited season of spring.

Our Study of Triangles

Throughout the past several weeks, we have been investigating 2-D shapes in our world. Here are a few photos pertaining to our learning around triangles.

Spring Thaw = BOOTS!

As temperatures are beginning to climb outside (thank goodness), our playground is starting to thaw. Past experience has suggested that the children will be playing in very soggy, muddy conditions throughout the months of March and April. To protect your children's feet and minimize the mud being tracked into the school building, please send a pair of rubber boots for your child to use over the next 6-8 weeks when needed. As always, we ask that you please label each boot with your child's name to make identification easier for both students and teachers. Thank you!
Me-to-We Update

Congratulations, K-1 families! We have collected enough money to purchase a goat! Our classroom family was the first to raise enough money to provide a goat to a family in a third world country. As collection will continue throughout the month, we have been given another opportunity to further bless those less fortunate than ourselves. We will continue to collect money in our classroom with the hopes of receiving enough money to purchase a second goat. Later this month, Parnall junior students will be hosting a bake sale (after March Break) with all proceeds going toward our school-wide fund drive. There will be further information pertaining to the Bake Sale coming up later next week.

Thank you to all who made our first purchase a success. Let's now see if we can double our contributions toward a second goat.

KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION PHOTOS

On Friday, March 6th, a professional photographer will be taking graduation photos of our Senior Kindergarten students. These photos will be made available for parents to purchase in the coming weeks. Be on the lookout for proofs in your child's Zippy Bag.

So, arrive at school looking your best this upcoming Friday and SMILE for the camera!
