Twin Day
Tomorrow, Thursday, January 15th, students are invited to dress as twins with one or some of their friends. Mr. Scott made it quite clear on the morning announcements yesterday that dressing as triplets, quadruplets or even quintuplets would be perfectly acceptable. So, have fun and get into the spirit. Just be sure and choose clothing that will keep you nice and warm.

Our First Week of 2015

Many exciting learning opportunities awaited us as we started a new year in K-1. One of our math centres focused on the survey question: Did you stay up until midnight on New Year's Eve? Students had an opportunity to respond to the question over several days by adding their names to a YES/NO graph posted in the classroom. After the students wrote their names on the graph, the class counted each column of data to see which had the most. We then represented our findings using ten-frames and counters to further check our results. Have a look below.

Winter Fun!

Winter is a fabulous season of the year for outdoor fun and play. Children love building snowmen, constructing forts out of snow and making beautiful snow angels all around our playground. To ensure that your child is comfortable, please pack plenty of warm clothing for both outdoor play and for changing into once they've come back inside the school building. Extra mittens and socks are always a good idea to tuck inside their backpacks. And don't forget to label everything with your child's name.

Mr. Pickett and Mrs. O'Neill are anxiously awaiting greeting our kinders on Monday, January 5th. We hope that you and your family had a wonderful Christmas holiday. Many blessings for a happy, healthy and safe 2015!
